BBB Business Ethics Award Recipient
Congratulations to the Recipients of the 2011 Business Ethics Awards!
BBB Serving Southern Alberta and East Kootenays was joined by 200 local business and community leaders to honour seven outstanding businesses on May 4 at the 2011 Business Ethics Awards.
"It is a testament to the value of trust in our communities when a record number of consumers nominate organizations for the 2011 Business Ethics Awards" said Sandra Crozier-McKee, President and CEO of BBB Serving Southern Alberta. "This year's nominees were of an extremely high calibre and BBB is honoured to be able to recognize these businesses."
The event was held at The Westin Calgary and had a relaxed cocktail hour feel. Lea Willams-Doherty emceed the awards and helped congratulate all businesses in attendance for their years of support.
Deputy Mayor Gael MacLeod and newly-appointed BBB CEO and President Sandra Crozier-McKee presented four businesses with honourable mentions, and three businesses with 2011 Business Ethics Awards.

First off, I just wanted to say that Davor did an exceptional job of installing our railing last week. He was very friendly and cleaned up very well.
This is a rebound review. When I bought my duplexes, my mom lived beside me. We wanted to put a gate where the partition was between the porches. Four years later I requested and paid for a porch gate. As busy as Home Rail is Josh showed up a few days before the estimated date and did a superb installation. All communication with Home Rail was above standards and a very special thank you to Josh for his great communication skills, talent and know how. Really really happy experience start to finish.

Hello,
I just wanted to express my thanks to your employees, specifically Maria and the two gentlemen in the shipping area. I had been on a new construction site in the NE a couple of weeks ago, I stopped a gentleman that was in one of your trucks working on a front rail. I asked him if recognized a picture of some railing I had, and he quickly expressed it was from his company and let me know where to go for more railing.
A few days later I walked into your location in Calgary se. I was pleasantly greeted by Maria and she was so very helpful in getting me set up with what I needed. Over the course of a few days with emails and pictures she had me set up with an order.
I stopped in yesterday at aprox 3:55 with the expectation of simply confirming my order and seeing what size vehicle I needed to bring when I picked up my order. Knowing the warehouse was closing very soon, I was pleasantly surprised when the two gentlemen in the back told me they could put my order together for me and I could take it at that time.
I just want to say thank you for a great experience in dealing with your company and the willingness of your employees to help me so promptly and professionally. In these perial times it's great to know that people are still willing to go above and beyond to help customers out.

This is a very fine product and the end finish is great. The easy to read instructions guide you step by step through the installation process. The illustrations make it easy to understand the written instructions, along with the online videos makes this a project that most people can do with little difficulty. The service and professional manner of the staff lets you know they stand behind their product. I recommend this product one hundred percent.

We did extensive research looking at other rail product lines and decided on Home Rail due to price, quality and do-it-yourself option. Kyle and his staff have been very helpful and answered any and all questions to make the installation process go as designed.

Good morning,
A few years ago we had your company install our railing on our deck. I remember doing my homework and looking for quality, service and good pricing and your company fit the bill. We were extremely impressed with the prompt and excellent service with the installation at the time. We have also been very happy with the product overall. Love the look, durability, low maintenance factor and the beautiful glass provides us with the opportunity to view our yard while sitting on the deck.
A few weeks ago I noticed that one of the bottom railings supporting one of the glass panels, had slipped out of the corner post, leaving the glass sitting at a bit of a dangerous angle. I immediately called your company and I once again was most impressed with the immediate, no hassle, service I received. The person I spoke with immediately stated that the rail was likely cut a little to short, thus allowing it to slip out of the post. He said he would try to get a technician out in the next few days. I then had a call from the technician and the very next day the problem was fixed. A new railing was installed and it once again looks like new!
In today's world, I have found most companies to find reasons why it's not their issue and they typically give you the royal run around. Your company has obviously understood the meaning of 'customer service' and as a result, has likely done very well for itself. This has been an awesome experience for me and you can count on me to spread the word about the quality of not only your product, but your customer service! Very impressive!
